FACT: Oct. 20, 2008 (today!) is the last day in California to register to vote in the November election.  Esface, Inc partnered with Stanford NAACP and TEAM ESFACE’s Eastside College Prep to host a VOTE HARD Community Welcome that celebrated a voter registration drive with free food, voter information, and several top notch performances!

FACT: After only three games in his NFL rookie season, Olaniyi Sobomehin starts his fourth game with the New Orleans Saints.  In the Saints victory against San Francisco, Olaniyi racked in two receptions, one lead block for a Duece McCallister touchdown, and a host of praises from his teammates and coach.  Olaniyi means “blessings are appreciated.”  His two sons are named Olajuwon (”the biggest blessing”) and Oladiron (”this blessing is a heritage to protect”).  Read more at http://www.oregonlive.com/nfl/oregonian/index.ssf?/base/sports/122283151454750.xml&coll=7

Fact: Two Esfac’e founders, Tunde and Dele, recently got the unique/once-in-a-life time opportunity to work out with the USA women’s olympic team as they prepared for the Beijing Olympics in the Maples Pavilion at Stanford University. At the end of the day, we both left with a deeper respect for women’s basketball and a higher basketball IQ…look out for footage on ESPN and be sure to watch the women on their quest to world domination on the hardwood.

Fact: Air Jordan III The Air Jordan III was designed by Tinker Hatfield. It was the first Air Jordan to feature a visible air unit on the heel, the new Jumpman logo, an elephant print trim, and tumble leather for a luxury look. The Air Jordan III were also famous for the humorous ads depicting Spike Lee as Mars Blackmon–the character he played in his film She’s Gotta Have It. This campaign was known as “Mars and Mike” ad campaign. This was one Nike’s most successful advertisement campaigns. These were the first jordans to feature the “NIKE AIR” logo on the back, but later replaced by the jumpman logo, with the words “AIR” underneath it, similar to the Air Jordan VI. Moving on from the initial Air Jordan meets Air Force 1 mash up that began with the Air Jordan V, the Air Jordan III is next up to undergo the hybrid phase. Kicking off the releases in July are some new colorways that have never before been seen on the Air Jordan III. Fact: Since Shaq and Kobe’s divorce from the Lakers, Shaq won a ring the subsequent year with the Heat and Kobe yet to, only making it past the first round this past year (which was a huge accomplishment and did show why Kobe is the realest OFFENSIVE player in the league (aka MVP)…is it that enough to get ships though…? You be the judge…peep this in the meantime.
