Team Esface Athletics Movement (”TEAM ESFACE”) is an athletic-based youth training and development organization aimed at providing the best athletics coaching to boys and girls in order to achieve positive returns on and off the training arena. Founded in 2005 as a natural offshoot of Esface, Inc, TEAM ESFACE started as an individual training program and has since developed into sponsoring and hosting camps, clinics and high school/NJB/AAU teams along the peninsula of the SF Bay Area.

This Spring Team Esface proudly announces their first AAU team, a 6th grade group under the leadership and direction of Dele Sobomehin (Esface Founder/CEO). These diverse set of boys come from as far as San Francisco but mainly hail from the peninsula cities like Foster City, San Carlos, and Palo Alto areas.  Taking home their first Championship in their first tournament in April, they have already became a formidable opponent to the many elite programs in the area.  Last weekend, they won their second Gold at the Team Hoop tournament that included competitive teams from the same area and as far as Santa Cruz.   Below is a highlight from their first tournament and a picture of the most recent championship.

Possibly one of greatest acquisitions of the year, Jordan Brand signs Dwayne Wade after Wade wastes several years with the lackluster design team of Converse. I gotta say D Wade is one of the most electrifying players in the NBA and coupled with the fact that he’s a Chi Town native, safe to say he aligns with everything the Jordan Brand represents and it is about time he gets what he deserves….great sneaker game to match his on court greatness. Finally, his fans can start really supporting him by copping a pair of D Wades because I know exactly ONE die hard Heat fan who has EVER purchased the disrespectful shoes Converse has been associating with a player so great.

Fact: Jordan won 6 championship rings in 8 years. 10 NBA scoring titles. 63 point record in playoffs. NBA Finals scoring average of 41. 6 Finals MVP Awards. Need I say more.

Jordan is an icon, a brand and a movement representing excellence, competitive mindset, and class. No athlete has made such a mark on American society not only on the court but off the court through his unparalleled Jordan brand sneakers and gear. Had to pay homage as he was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame on Friday. Although his speech wasn’t the most classic, it was nonetheless very touching and inspirational and good to see Jordan in his true skin being natural, having fun and relishing the moment. Always enjoy seeing him on camera, especially when he’s talking about his upbringing and the things that lit that fire that drove him to the top.

Fact: After a couple year absence, Esfac’e comes back to host the Blackfest 3 on 3 tournament this year, getting a strong 7 teams involved, with Team Esface losing by 1 in the Championship (next year is Redemption year). And of course, we had the Esface booth showcasing our latest Nu Face shirt along with the Black on Black Series released in March.

This SATURDAY, join Chillin’ Productions & Esfac’e along with many other local designers at 111 Minna Gallery in San Francisco (SOMA).  Shop, drink and be merry with local artists and new talent.  There will be live painting, silk-screening, and DJ’s spinning all night. Esfac’e Founder Tunde Sobomehin (2nd from right) and Collegiate Ambassador Demetric Sanders (front kneeling) were of the few soldiers that battled against the Business School (defending champs) to bring home yet another Championship for the Team Esfac’e Intramural Squad at Stanford University.

And now for the youth basketball, Esfac’e President Dele Sobomehin coached his 5th Grade All-Net NJB squad to an undefeated regular and post-season, winning the Regional Championship and also qualifying them for the National Tournament in LA on March 28-29th…La La Land here we come..let’s go!!
